The Google Pixel 8a is on the horizon, and the rumor mill is churning overtime. Leaks are pouring in, and the latest are case colors and the product page, giving us a sneak peek at what to expect from Google’s upcoming mid-range champion.

Last month, we saw leaked colors that seem to suggest the Pixel 8a will be available in Mint, Bay (blue), Porcelain (cream-white), and Obsidian (black). But the plot thickens! Reliable leaker Evan Blass has just surprised us with a couple of leaks showcasing an official-looking Pixel 8a product page and a surprise vibrant orange case color to add to the already leaked colors. While an orange Pixel 8a itself hasn’t featured in the rumor mill, the case’s existence hints at Google potentially offering it later. The Pixel 4 and 4 XL remain the only Google phones to come in an Oh So Orange variant.

Here’s what truly excites me: the leaked product page suggests the Pixel 8a might inherit some of its flagship sibling’s best features. Seven years of software and security updates? That’s a massive win for a mid-range phone, putting it on par with the Pixel 8 series. Even cooler, it seems the Pixel 8a will get Magic Editor, Audio Magic Eraser, and the beloved Best Take camera mode — features that are reserved for pricier devices.

Other noteworthy details gleaned from Pixel 8a leaks include the Tensor G3 chip, Gorilla Glass 3 protection, wireless charging, an IP67 rating, and a long-lasting battery. The listing also mentions perks like support for Google One VPN, free trials for YouTube Premium and Google One storage, and even Fitbit Premium.

With a leaked price tag of $499, the Pixel 8a is shaping up to be a serious contender in the mid-range market. Google seems to be packing a lot of punch into this phone, and the leaks suggest it could easily be one of the best mid-range phones of 2024. Now, with a product page leak like this, one wonders if there’s even much left to reveal at the official launch event.
