Google’s #BestPhonesForever campaign continues to charm viewers with its witty take on the friendly rivalry between Apple and Google’s flagship phones. The latest ad, “Snow Phones,” takes a playful jab at iPhone while highlighting the Pixel 8 Pro’s impressive new offerings, including the powerful Gemini Nano AI and the exciting December Feature Drop.

The ad opens with Pixel 8 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max singing along and enjoying a hint of sunlight in the snow. When iPhone goes off tune at the end, Google Pixel 8 Pro makes a remark about it, to which, iPhone responds it can’t help it. “Out on a beautiful day, with my best friend. I’m just so happy you could finally take some time off,” says iPhone.

Google Pixel 8 Pro goes on to ask “What do you mean?” To which, iPhone responds by claiming Pixel works too hard since it’s always getting new feautures. iPhone goes on to highlight the regular Google Pixel Feature Drops as well as how the 8 Pro’s the first to integrate Google’s groundbreaking Gemini Nano AI model.

In the hilarious next scene, iPhone mentions that after their fall launches, they all just chill like their buddies, pointing towards an iPhone and a Google Pixel frozen and covered in snow. This subtle dig highlights the fact that iPhones generally don’t get many new exciting features often, instead, iPhones usually only get big new features with yearly OS updates. The video ends off with iPhone telling Google Pixel to chill out, to which Pixel says “cool as ice baby.”

“Snow Phones” marks a turning point in the #BestPhonesForever campaign. While previous ads focused on playful banter and lighthearted competition, this latest iteration delves deeper into the technical prowess of the Pixel 8 Pro. The ad subtly showcases the revolutionary Gemini Nano AI and the ongoing commitment to user experience through regular Feature Drops, positioning Pixel as the clear leader in innovation and user satisfaction.
