New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on May 1, 2023) follows:
Paramount Plus acts as the daily source of entertainment for millions worldwide. The streaming service is available on various platforms like Android, iOS, Smart TV, and more.
However, bugs and issues may sometimes sneak into the app’s code and negatively impact users’ experience. In the past, Paramount Plus subscribers have complained about the app being laggy or buggy on some devices.
Paramount Plus app not opening on Fire TV Stick
Some Amazon Fire TV Stick users report that the Paramount Plus app is not opening or is stuck on a blue screen. This is preventing affected subscribers from enjoying their favorite TV shows and movies.
According to reports (1,2,3,4,5), when they try to open the app, it never gets past the blue screen with the Paramount Plus logo in the middle. Some have waited on this screen for over 30 minutes without any success.
The issue has been affecting Fire TV Stick users for several days and the developers are yet to fix the problem. Some have taken to social media platforms like Twitter to express their concerns regarding the same.
What’s going on @paramountplus ?? Two days and the app won’t load on my Fire TV. Checking Twitter, seems like a lot of folks are having the same issue. When is a fix coming?

The fact my @paramountplus app hasn’t worked all week on my fire stick is annoying

It’s worth noting that this bug is unrelated to subscribers’ internet connection. Even those with a high-speed and stable internet connection are experiencing this problem.
This is especially annoying as Paramount Plus is a paid service and users expect a certain level of quality from the platform. Apparently, other streaming devices like Roku and Apple TV are unaffected by this problem.
Official acknowledgment
Fortunately, the Amazon team is already aware of the issue and is working to resolve it. However, they did not share an ETA for the fix.
While common troubleshooting steps like uninstalling and reinstalling the app do not fix the issue for most users, in some rare cases, they have helped some get past the blue screen. You can give this a try for a potential fix.
I was able to fix the problem by uninstalling and reinstalling the app
