[Updated] Cash App users report direct deposit delayed, not received or showing

Launched in October 2013 by Bob Lee, Cash App is a popular mobile payment service available in the United States and the United Kingdom.

It enables users to effortlessly transfer money to each other directly through their mobile application.

Having said that, some Cash App users reported that they are being double charged for certain transactions. And now, another issue related to direct deposits has surfaced.

Some Cash App users are reporting that direct deposits are being delayed or not showing up for them. Users say that even though the money gets released by the sender, they don’t receive it in their account.

Here are some reports for reference:

My direct deposit should have hit yesterday but it’s still missing g although it’s been released by employer and always deposits on Tuesdays between 4:00pm est and6:00pm est . Help! (Source)

This is frustrating since many Cash App users are not receiving their money on time. And hence, they are unable to use it for pending payments.

Unfortunately, the support team hasn’t yet acknowledged this issue, so its unclear as to why direct Cash App deposits are delaying or not showing up.

It’s worth noting that Chime bank users also reported a similar case not long ago. However, the issue isn’t fully resolved for them yet.

Disappointingly, we haven’t come across any potential workaround that can help account holders get their direct deposits.

Hence, they’ll have to wait until Cash App support acknowledges the issue with delayed direct deposit and fixes it. We’ll keep track of the latest developments and inform you as and when we come across anything noteworthy.

08:58 am (IST): Cash App users report the reappearance of the issue where their transactions are not showing up in ‘Activity’ or ‘Cash Balance’ sections (1, 2, 3).

04:15 pm (IST): The Cash App support team confirmed that they are already investigating the issue that re-surfaced yesterday:

Hey Roman. We are currently investigating notification delays that may affect Cash Card transactions, Direct Deposit, Paper Money Deposit, and Add Cash. We are currently investigating this issue.

06:00 pm (IST): Cash app official status site states that the issue has been resolved.

07:10 am (IST): Some Cash App users are reporting (1,2,3) that their direct deposits have been delayed. The delay may likely be due to an ongoing issue with Cash Cards.
