Spotify is one of the most well-known digital music, podcast, and video services that caters to the needs of people across the globe. However, being popular doesn’t mean that the platform is free from various bugs and issues.

For example, we recently highlighted the issues where the Spotify Android app showed massive space or gaps between lines of the ‘shared lyrics’ and the Spotify AI DJ kept playing the same recently played songs.

Spotify users unable to join or accept family plan invites

And by looking at the reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), it appears that a new problem has now surfaced.

Lately, multiple Spotify users have started encountering a problem where they are unable to join or accept family plan invites. In addition to this, some are also facing difficulties inviting family members to join the plan.

As per the complaints, those who receive such links keep getting ‘please try again later’ error message whenever they try to accept the invitation by choosing the address of residence.

And this too happens when one picks the same address that has been specified while generating the invite link. There are allegations that the issue pops up when trying to set up and use a Premium Duo plan as well.

On the other hand, some get an ‘this page no longer exists’ error on opening the received link itself. Understandably, this problem has caused significant inconvenience to the users.

People are also witnessing problems with logging in to their Spotify account as they are unable to reset the password for the same. They assert that they don’t receive any email after requesting a password reset.

They told me I can no longer ever be part of the family plan again. As in my wife and 2 kids who have the family plan, and I’m never allowed to join it again. So I won’t be using @SpotifyUK @SpotifyCares again.

Notably, this issue has been going on for a few days and remains unresolved until now. Those impacted have even tried to seek help from Spotify’s support staff through different social media channels, but all in vain.

No official response

Sadly, Spotify has not officially responded to the matter. However, we do hope that the developers will rectify this problem quickly.

Having said that, we’ll continuously monitor the issue where some Spotify users are unable to join or accept family plan invites and get ‘please try again later’ error and update you accordingly.
