[Update: Diablo 4 login fixed] Diablo 3 servers down, not working & throwing 'code 1' or 'code 3006' errors? You're not alone

New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on Mar. 7, 2023) follows:

‘Diablo’ is one of the longest running and most recognized sagas in the video game industry (1, 2). Although Diablo 4’s arrival is very close, Diablo 3 still maintains a strong community of players.

That said, currently Diablo 3 players are unable to enjoy the game as its servers are down or not working, resulting in ‘code 1’ or ‘code 3006’ errors.

few things online were driver updates, flush dns, run as admin, did a scan and repair for lols. no dice.

Some Diablo 3 players are also getting ‘code 3006’ error. The issue is preventing them from creating a game or joining an already created game, although they still can log in with their credentials.

Blizzard reportedly aware of the issue

According to a player, the Diablo 3 client is showing a message stating that devs are aware of the issue.

There is a message on the Launcher now. Investigating the game creation issue. So they are working on it

The message in the client/launcher reportedly says ‘We are investigating an issue that is causing problems in game creation’. But there is still no ETA for everything to work normally again.

Lovely. They have a thing at the top of the game launcher now that reads “We are investigating an issue that is causing problems in game creation.” hoping for a quick fix
