With its unique blend of Augmented Reality technology, nostalgic appeal, and incentive to explore the real world, Pokemon Go has revolutionized the gaming landscape.

Undoubtedly, the game still continues to attract millions of players worldwide, motivating them to get out and become real-world trainers. However, sometimes problems pop up that negatively affect one’s gaming experience.

For instance, we recently highlighted the issues where Pokémon GO Plus+ users were unable to activate sleep mode tracking and the ‘Showcase’ feature was not showing up on PokeStops.

Now, a new problem is plaguing gamers.

Pokemon Go players cannot redeem Amazon Prime codes

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), some Pokemon Go players are experiencing difficulties when trying to redeem Amazon Prime codes.

Apparently, they get an error message stating that ‘An unknown error has occurred. Please try again’. Some are also unable to get the code to work properly for their partner research.

In addition to this, gamers allege that they receive an error claiming that the code has already been redeemed despite having not achieved the partner research in the game.

They have also attempted to redeem the code from the web browser and the game itself, but were unsuccessful. Although, players have tried linking their profile to a different account, they still cannot claim any of the codes.

Gamers have asserted that they have never had any issues redeeming codes in the past.

Official acknowledgment and potential workaround

Fortunately, the Niantic support team on Twitter has officially acknowledged this issue and is currently investigating it. They have also advised gamers to try changing their web browser or device (if feasible).

It has also been suggested that you try redeeming the promo code when the VPN is switched off.
