[Updated] Pokemon Go 'Showcase' feature not showing up on PokeStops for some, bug acknowledged

Pokemon Go is a captivating and innovative game that took the world by storm upon its release.

By blending the realms of gaming and reality, it has revolutionized the gaming landscape by bringing the iconic Pokemon franchise to life in an engaging and immersive experience.

However, like any other game, Pokemon Go is also not immune to various bugs and issues.

For instance, we recently covered the issues where ‘Purified Gems’ were not applying properly in some Shadow Raids and players faced invisible rival Pokemon during battles. Now, a new one has surfaced.

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9), multiple Pokemon Go players are facing an issue where the ‘Showcase’ feature is not showing up on PokeStops.

It has been alleged that despite confirming the availability of showcases at nearby Pokestops through their friend’s account, they are unable to see or participate in them.

They also assert that the floating icon does not appear even after logging out and back in or resetting the game data. Some argue that this is an account related issue as they even tried to sign in on their peers’ devices.

An iOS device owner says that even after updating the game and their device, they cannot see any showcases and do not receive any notifications about them.

Another adds that even after uninstalling and reinstalling the game and downloading all the assets, they are still unable to find any showcases.

It’s noteworthy that the issue has been persistent for a day or two and affects gamers across Android and iOS. And understandably, they have taken to Reddit and Twitter to express their concerns.

@PokemonGoApp @NianticHelp I am unable to see the showcase feature, but my friends around me can. We are all looking at the same Pokéstop from the same location. The feature is just not there for me. Please advise.

@NianticHelp my account is showing the showcase feature fine , but my nephews account is not showing up at all, I updated to current version and it is not showing the feature , even logged in on my phone and nothing.

Those impacted are now requesting to fix this glitch as soon as possible.

Fortunately, the Niantic support team on Twitter has officially acknowledged this issue and stated that Showcases on PokéStops are expected to return on July 9.

We are hopeful that Niantic Games will soon resolve this issue.

That said, we’ll keep monitoring this topic and update this story to reflect new information.

05:39 pm (IST): Some players are now reporting that Pokestops are not showcasing for them during routes.
