Some LinkedIn accounts suspended or restricted for no reason; follower count glitch on company pages acknowledged
LinkedIn is an excellent resource for connecting with other professionals in your field, finding job opportunities, and building your personal brand.
With the help of this platform, one can utilize their profile to showcase their professional experience, education, and skills.
In addition to this, LinkedIn can also be used to share your opinions on industry trends. However, like any other platform, LinkedIn also has its fair share of bugs and issues.
For instance, we recently covered the issues where ‘Saved jobs’ kept disappearing for some users and LinkedIn notifications were irrelevant, slow, or missing. Now, a couple of new ones have popped up.
LinkedIn accounts suspended or restricted for no reason
Some claim that they have been unable to access their accounts for the past two months due to a temporary suspension. Even though appeals have been submitted to the company, they are still awaiting a response.
Others allege that even after getting their account verified multiple times, they are unable to successfully login.
In addition to this, the profiles of some professionals are being randomly deleted as well. And to rub salt in the wounds, they cannot get in touch with the support team and raise a request as well.
One person alleges that after failing the CAPTCHA test on their new business laptop, their account was temporarily restricted.
And surprisingly, one hour after completing the document verification process, their account got permanently suspended.
@LinkedIn my account was compromised and I have not been able to access it even after verifying my identity several times. I have received no response from the support team. Can anyone help me? Very frustrating! #linkedinsupport #linkedIn.
@LinkedInHelp My account was temporarily suspended and I was advised through online forums to take the request to Twitter to get reinstated. Thank you!
Luckily, some were able to get their accounts back by nagging support about the issue, so you may want to try this too.
LinkedIn follower count glitch acknowledged
An affected user says that the follower count on their business page has reduced to 11 from a total of 6,000.
Another complains that their company page’s follower count suddenly decreased by approximately 5,000.
@LinkedIn is there a glitch on the platform? Our page follower count just reduced by 5000 or so. We just saw that many company pages with much larger follower base are showing suddenly reduced followers. #help
Because of @LinkedInglitch people are seeing fewer followers in their LinkedIn company pages Like @SwiggyCares @zomato #Linkedinglitch.
Fortunately, the LinkedIn support team is aware of this problem and is currently working on fixing it. Although, no official ETA for the bug fix has been provided.
We are hopeful that LinkedIn will soon resolve both issues soon.
