New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on June 20, 2023) follows:

Samsung recently released the June update for the Galaxy S23 series that introduces bug fixes to some known issues, camera and performance improvements, and security updates.

The patch also adds a new 2x zoom option in the camera app’s Portrait mode, addresses issues with the autofocus feature, and brings changes to the Night mode.

The latest update has already been released in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines.

Samsung Galaxy S23 series June update delayed due to ‘bugs’

However, by looking at the reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9), it appears that Samsung has delayed or halted the June update for the Galaxy S23 series.

And this has been done because users encountered issues after installing the latest update on the Galaxy S23 devices in Europe, leading to a halt in the broader rollout.

As of now, there is no exact information available about the kind of bug(s) that the patch brought along.

It’s good to have leaks/sources like this. But not having full documentation/patch notes from samsung directly makes the leaks somewhat irrelevant since only samsung can confirm these leaks.

If only Samsung could simply tell us in the changelog what was actually changed, you know, what a changelog is for. Wonder why they don’t.

It is also being speculated that Samsung will resolve all of the known issues and release a new update for the lineup. However, this news has not been well received by some users.

Some are even surprised, as Europe is typically one of the first regions to receive updates. According to a Twitter user, the revised release date for the update in Canada is June 27.

In Europe nobody found bugs, cause here it never was released. But better fix the problems and give the users a stable update.

Bugs in software updates are not uncommon, as they can arise from various factors. However, it is critical that the company properly test the patch and address all the issues before releasing it.

This will help prevent any negative impact on users’ devices or experiences. It’s also worth mentioning that users are not experiencing such delays for the first time.

Notably, they have encountered delays in the release of the Samsung One UI 5.0 (Android 13) beta 2 and Verizon Samsung Galaxy A50 One UI 2.5 updates as well.

Having said that, we will keep tabs on the issue where the Samsung Galaxy S23 series June update has allegedly been delayed or halted due to ‘bugs’ and update this article to reflect noteworthy information.

Update 1 (June 21, 2023)

05:25 pm (IST): As confirmed by a well known tipster (Ice Universe), the delay in the update rollout is not due to bug found in all Europe units, but in SM-S918B models.

Update 2 (June 23, 2023)

05:23 pm (IST): Users in Europe confirmed that they are already starting to receive the update after the initial delay, probably a fixed version (1, 2).

Update 3 (June 27, 2023)

11:24 am (IST): Samsung is now rolling out June 2023 update for Galaxy S23 users in Europe and the USA.
