New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on March 30, 2023) follows:

Some YouTube users are currently experiencing issues when trying to upload videos to the platform. It appears that the video service is not processing their videos due to an outage.

Do note that this isn’t the first time users have experienced issues while uploading content. We’ve previously an covered issue where the videos stayed stuck on the copyright checks.

YouTube videos stuck on processing will begin shortly

YouTube content creators are confused (1,2,3,4,5) as to why their videos are not being processed even though it finished uploading a while ago. The YouTube Studio dashboard just shows ‘processing will begin shortly’.

The visibility status of the video is also stuck on ‘Pending’ due to this problem.

Affected ones have taken to social media platforms like Twitter to express their frustration. Those with fixed upload schedules are unable to provide content to their audience because of the ongoing service outage.

I have been trying to upload a video to YouTube for quite some time but the video gets stuck on processing

Unable to post my video from past 1 hour as the processing is not starting.

The problem is not limited to regular videos, some creators are facing the problems even while uploading Shorts content. Some are speculating that YouTube might be experiencing some server issues.

Unfortunately, YouTube has not yet acknowledged the issue where videos are stuck on ‘processing will begin shortly’ for content creators.

We hope they are able to find the root cause behind this problem and fix it at the earliest so creators can go back to uploading videos.
