[Updated] Spotify users unable to play songs in playlist from search on iOS, issue under investigation

Spotify is one of the most popular music streaming platforms in the world. With its vast library of songs, it has become the go-to destination for music lovers.

Spotify has rolled out some amazing features lately like the new AI DJ, Smart Shuffle, and has gone through major UI changes.

However, users have been experiencing issues while playing songs from a playlist on their iOS devices (1,2,3,4,5).

Whenever users search for a specific song, album, or artist in their playlist and try to play it directly from the search results, it doesn’t work.

Listeners have to manually navigate through their playlist and find the song which is a tedious task.

The problem seems to be specific to iOS, as Android and desktop users have not reported anything similar.

For users who rely on Spotify for their daily dose of music, this issue has disrupted their routine and made it difficult for them to enjoy their favorite songs.

my spotify is acting up where i cant search my own playlist and play the song i want that way so if i want a specific song i have to physically find it somewhere in my 1600 song playlist

Fortunately, Spotify developers are aware of the issues where users are unable to play songs in the playlist from search. However, there is ETA for a fix yet.

We hope Spotify soon finds out the root cause of the problem and fixes it in the coming days so users can use the application normally. When they do, we will be updating this space to let you know.
