Synapse X is a popular tool for software developers that mainly focuses on the development and execution of scripts. It can also inject scripts into popular games, and some “experimental” Roblox players tend to use Synapse X for this purpose.

However, multiple Synapse X users are currently facing an issue where they are unable to run the tool due to a “Failed to download launcher data” error message.

According to reports, the issue started suddenly, and affected users receive the error message after a crash. The pop-up indicates that the problem is related to the network firewall.

@synapseupdates hi my synapse randomly stopped working for the past few days and I tried turning off my firewall it didn’t help and I turned off my antivirus and it still didn’t work. I don’t know what to do.

so i turned on my virus protection and it deleted syanpse and i cant redownload it, it just shows ‘Failed to download launcher data’ when i try to click synapse launcher.exe

Although users have tried disabling the network firewall, the software still crashes, suggesting that the origin of the problem is something else.

Unfortunately, there is no official acknowledgment from the Synapse X team about this bug. There are a couple of potential workarounds that could help.

A user suggested that you can run the tool without problems by disabling the antivirus, re-extracting the setup file, and reinstalling it. After completing the process, you can reactivate the antivirus.

Another user suggested that using mobile data allows you to play while Synapse X is active, especially for those who use the tool as a “script injector” in games like Roblox.

Solution to the firewall fix (for me atleast)

I connect to my hotspot on my phone and I can play with synapse but when i connect to my internet doesnt work so idk temporary fix for me
