Original story (published on March 3, 2022) follows:

Since its inception, Far Cry has become one of Ubisoft’s most important franchises. It is also one of the most recognized names in the video game industry today.

The latest release in the series is Far Cry 6, but previous games still maintain a strong community. Far Cry 5 is a clear example of this.

Is Far Cry Arcade online support dead too now? I just keep getting this error. Anyone else experiencing this? Anyone know a fix? It’s been days like this now and website support still hasn’t responded for over a day now.

It’s worth pointing out that these bugs are not exactly new. In fact, there are similar reports dating back as far as 2018.

The Ubisoft team confirmed that they are already aware of the issue and investigating. Sadly, there is still no ETA for Far Cry 5 online modes to work normally again.

Sorry to hear about this issue, @Lunarei919! Our team is investigating the error Redhorn-4800002 at this time. So we can look further into this, could you confirm if this was happening connecting to co-op in the main game or Arcade?

We will update this story as related events unfold in the future.

Update 1 (March 6, 2023)

01:00 pm (IST): According to a player report, it seems that the Far Cry 5 server issues that are causing the ‘Redhorn-4800002’ and ‘Redhorn-38000089’ errors are happening in some countries.

So, as a potential workaround, players can try setting up a VPN and testing between different countries until they get one where the online mode is working correctly.

Update 2 (April 12, 2023)

06:20 pm (IST): A Far Cry 5 player was able to get rid of the ‘Redhorn’ errors by restarting their router.

I was able to fix it by restating my router. Let me know if that fixed the problem for u too.
