Discord is a popular social networking site that is widely used by streamers, gamers, and communities alike. The platform receives regular updates and general tweaks to ensure a good user experience.

But there have been instances where the update backfires and inexplicably introduces bugs and issues. For instance, we recently highlighted a ‘No Route’ error that reportedly occurred after the v171.22 update.

Likewise, one of the mobile updates of the platform brought high data usage issues to light.

Anyone else having problems with Discord being super laggy today? Text, video, multiple accounts, multiple servers. But the status page is all green. 🤷‍♂️

I have an issue where only one server is lagging. It’s happening with the only other person in the server, too, and it’s not our internets, and other servers are working fine. It’s just text, no calls or streams happening at the moment.

Reports suggest that not all servers are impacted and the affected ones are increasingly slow when switching between them, sending messages, or loading the pictures.

It seems that Android app users are the most affected and this could potentially be because of the recent update.

Owing to this, emojis are also not loading correctly or taking a lot of time to load for some users.

There is no official acknowledgment yet from Discord support and we haven’t come across any workaround at this moment.

We hope that the team comes up with a fix soon so that users can use the app without any issues.

That said, we’ll keep tabs on the latest developments regarding the issue where the Discord app is lagging.
