MultiVersus shutting down until 2024 makes players claim KOF XV deserved Best Fighting award at TGA

Recently, MultiVersus devs confirmed that the MultiVersus Open Beta is shutting down soon. This will happen on June 25, the day after which all its online modes will be inaccessible for some time.

But, it seems that the game requires more work than expected before its final release, since it will happen at the beginning of 2024. That is, players will have to wait more than half a year to enjoy the online features again.

So, after the announcement, many players have been claiming that MultiVersus was an incomplete game and did not deserve the TGA 2022 ‘Best Fighting Game’ award.

The main argument from the community is that MultiVersus wasn’t even a complete game all this time. Meanwhile, all the other games competing in the category were complete, with all their modes accessible at any time.

Also, the community seems to agree that KOF XV deserved the ‘Best Fighting Game’ award at TGA 2022 instead of MultiVersus.
