Discord is a widely used platform to talk over voice, video, and text with friends and like-minded communities.

The developers have been recently making some considerable changes to the platform like the addition of ‘Gradient Color Themes’, a new mobile app UI, and a ‘swipe left to reply’ feature.

Demand for Discord ‘Voice Messages’

However one of the oldest demanded features has been ‘Voice Messages’ (1,2,3,4,5,6,7).

Sending voice messages on Discord currently requires users to record their messages using third-party applications and then upload the files to their friends or send them in the direct messaging section of a Discord community.

This process can be time-consuming and inconvenient for users who want to communicate more efficiently.

In contrast, many other social media apps have already introduced a ‘Voice Messages’ feature, which allows users to easily send and receive voice messages within the app.

Discord support has also said that the ‘Voice Messages’ feature is on their to-do list and it was leaked back in February 2023 that the developers are working on it.

How to get it

This feature’s public testing appears to have begun for a limited number of users, but there is a way for everyone to access it.

All you need to do is use a VPN and switch your country to Brazil:

Note: You will only have access to this feature as long as your VPN to Brazil is active; if you close it, you will lose access to it immediately.

This feature will undoubtedly improve the overall user experience and make communication on Discord more seamless and enjoyable for all.

That said, we’ll keep tabs on the latest developments regarding the ‘Voice Messages’ feature and update the article accordingly.
