Original story (published on March 19, 2022) follows:

Three years after its release, Apex Legends still remains one of the most played Battle Royale titles of all time.

Developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts, the first-person shooter is known for its fast-paced gameplay. Available on a number of platforms, the title also supports cross-platform play.

Nonetheless, players often experience problems such as the recently reported bug where many were stuck on the loading screen and getting error 429 while others complained about slow download speed on Steam.

Having said that, Apex Legends players are now saying that the crossplay feature that allows them to play with each other independent of the platform they are on is either down or not working.

The problem seems to be affecting many players who say they are unable to see or invite their friends on a different platform. Even the club tab is reportedly broken at the moment.

Some say they tried basic troubleshooting steps like restarting the game, verifying game files, and restarting their system but nothing seems to make any difference.

Below are reports from Apex Legends players complaining about crossplay not working.

Unfortunately, Apex Legends developers (Respawn Entertainment) are yet to acknowledge or comment on the issue.

We hope they notice that crossplay is not working at the moment and fix it as soon as possible since millions are unable to play with their friends.

As always, we will be keeping tabs on the issue and update this space as and when we come across more information so make sure you stay tuned to PiunikaWeb.

Crossplay appears to have been fixed, as no further reports on the issue have surfaced in a few hours.
