Arlo is a popular brand that produces various smart home security products such as wireless cameras, doorbells, security systems, and more. They even claim to be world’s first ever company to create a 100% wireless 4K UHD security camera.

You can control and manage all the Arlo products from their dedicated app directly on your smartphone or tablet. Furthermore, Arlo even works with Alexa, Google Assistant, SmartThings, and IFTTT.

However, lately some users are running into different kinds of issues with Arlo products. Users previously reported issues such as ‘Live view’ not working on iOS 16 or ‘Schedule mode’ not working or getting set to disarmed.

Arlo SmartHub & connected devices disappeared from app

And it seems that the streak of issues with Arlo products continues as users are now reporting yet another bug with the service which is further deteriorating their experience.

Arlo users are now reporting that the SmartHub and connected devices have, all of a sudden, disappeared from the app or as well as the web dashboard.

Same exact thing just happened to my Arlo 2 Hub. Hub shows all green lights but has disappeared from my app along with the cameras connected to it. This needs to get fixed! Never had a problem like this till JUST NOW. (Source)

I had three cameras and a doorbell connected to my Smarthub and everything was working fine. Suddenly, without any changes, everything disappeared from the app and web dashboard. I tried restarting the hub and then resetting it. Now my app can’t find the hub at all. Anyone else have this happen? (Source)

Moreover, those affected say that generic workarounds like resetting the devices or rebooting them isn’t helping. And while the hub shows green light for all devices (which indicate they’re connected), the app shows otherwise.

Fortunately, one of those affected has managed to find a way around this problem. And you can also give the below-mentioned workaround a try and see if it helps.

Workaround: Right now the only way to get them back is to reset your base station. Then add your base station back via the app and then add each camera back one at a time. MAKE SURE YOU ADD THEM IN THE ORDER YOU WANT THEM!
Why? Because if you add them and then try and reorder them BOOM your base stations will disappear again! Arlo knows of the issue but has no timeline for a fix. (Source)

Luckily, Arlo support has acknowledged this glitch with their app and confirmed that this issue has been escalated to the team for further investigation. However, they didn’t provide any ETA for the fix.
