Madden 23 'Captain tokens' gone or removed after exchange with new team captain, issue being looked into

However, the number of issues and bugs that the Madden NFL players have to deal with makes the game unplayable. Sometimes, the competitive Field Pass rewards go missing and other times the Solo Battle progress keeps resetting.

This time, players are facing issues while exchanging or trading a new team captain for their teams.

Many players (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) are reporting an issue where Madden NFL 23 ‘captain tokens’ get removed after exchanging or trading a new team captain.

Madden NFL 23 allows players to select one Team Captain at a time. This is done when players put their existing captain in exchange set in order to get a new one.

But owing to the issue, the captain tokens get removed as soon as players get a new captain in exchange. Those tokens also don’t appear in their item binder either.

For instance, while exchanging Keyshawn Johnson card for an Eric Allen card, the captain tokens go missing for some players without the game even asking them to downgrade.

Official acknowledgment

Fortunately, EA has acknowledged the issue and said that the team is working on a fix.

Hopefully, the team comes up with a fix soon so that players can go back to trading captains without losing their tokens.
