Lost Ark 'character customization presets' not working or deleted, issue being looked into

If you are someone interested in top-down games, you must have heard about Lost Ark. Released in the Americas and Europe in February this year by Amazon Games, the title gained massive popularity just hours after its launch.

With focus on PvE and exploration, Lost Ark has been praised by players for its smooth and solid mechanics and combat.

But as is the case with the majority of video games, players have encountered issues such as Guild donations or contributions not working on the Vykas server and the game crashing when loading Guardian Raids or Chaos Dungeon.

And according to recent reports from Lost Ark players, it looks like character customization presets are not working or deleted (1,2,3,4,5).

Apparently, many are getting a ‘Customization Load Failed’ error message whenever they try to load a preset. Restarting the game and reinstalling it isn’t helping either.

You can see in the image below the error that pops up whenever Lost Ark players try to load character customization presets.

All customization presets created before today are no longer usable. After the update, all character creation presets created before today are no longer usable, you will get a warning popup if you try to use it saying it doesn’t work, and asks if you want to delete the preset. Do not click “ok” on the popup, as it will delete the preset file completely.

Not sure if this has been posted here before but I found a recent issue with the Saved Character Customizations. Prior to the Thursday backend update, all my saved Customizations worked perfectly (including saved customizations that I obtained from users in KR). However, after the update this past Thursday, it seems to be completely broke. None of my past customizations work anymore and they get corrupted & deleted once I try to load them in, I tried verifying the integrity of my games files but it still remains broken. Anyone else had an issue of this sort?

As it turns out, Lost Ark developers are aware of the issue and said they are already working to fix it. But there is no ETA on when the problem will be resolved.
