Lost Ark keeps crashing when loading Guardian Raids or Chaos Dungeon, devs aware

Released worldwide in February this year, the 2.5D isometric game with a top-down view gained massive popularity in a few days. The game had more than 20 million global players as of March 2022.

However, players have reported several bugs and issues like Harmony and Life Shards disappearing and being unable to enter the Sanctum of Mist in Nineveh Rapport quest ‘Aura of Chaos’.

Adding to the trouble, Lost Ark players are now saying (1,2,3,4,5) that the game is crashing when loading Guardian Raids or Chaos Dungeon. The problem seems to have surfaced after the latest maintenance.

Some say they are getting no error messages and that the game usually crashes around the 50% loading mark. Players say they tried verifying the game files and reinstalling the game but the problem persists.

Below are some reports from Lost Ark players complaining about the game crashing when trying to enter Chaos Dungeon or Guardian Raids.

Are Chaos Dungeons crashing for anybody else? Never had a crash issue with this game before. After today’s patch, I can’t enter a Chaos Dungeon. During the load screen the game simply closes itself. No error messages, nothing, it’s just like I hit Alt+F4. Thankfully my Aura of Resonance is not being consumed but I’m effectively locked out of Chaos Dungeons for now. Anybody else having the same issues?

Fortunately, Lost Ark developers have commented on the matter and said they are aware of the issues where Dungeon Chaos and Guardian Raids are crashing.

We know that losing out on limited entry content or ticketed activities from an unexpected crash is a frustrating experience. The team will be taking steps to help improve these less than ideal circumstances.

But there is no timeframe on when it will be resolved. We hope the developers soon find out the root cause of the problem and release a patch that fixes the issue.
