New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on April 12, 2022) follows:

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is one of the best-selling games in the franchise. Published by Ubisoft in November of 2020, the title has generated more than $1 billion in revenue.

However, issues such as players unable to collect Treasure of Britain from Old Cellar and Eivor getting drunk when loading into the game have negatively impacted the overall experience for many.

While Ubisoft seems to be working to fix these bugs and glitches, many Assassin’s Creed Valhalla players are now saying they are unable to see or join this year’s Ostara Festival (1,2,3,4,5).

If you didn’t know, Ubisoft recently announced that they will be bringing back the Ostara festival starting April 21. But reports from Valhalla players suggest that many are seeing a blank space in Ravensthorpe where the Ostara festival should be.

Played Ostara last year, everything worked smooth, popped in on time, didn’t bug. This year the opening Ostara cutscene started in the completely empty festival area, no decorations, no people, no butterflies, nothing BUT the festive sounds (which disappeared after the cutscene). Then the markers for Ostara Quests showed up, but every quest-related item is missing (i.e. archery challenge is missing the aims). Playing the game on my main save file, everything is done and completed.

Hi, I am currently at power 289 and have completed a number of areas in England, including Ledecestreschire and Grantbridgescire. Ravensthorpe is at level 5, so I meet the criteria to start the Ostara festival, however when I enter Ravensthorpe (from any angle) it doesn’t start and I just see the floating green square in the middle of Ravensthorpe. Can you help? I have patch 1.5.1 and tried saving, closing and restarting both the game and the ps5 consol.

Players say they tried various things such as completing other missions, travelling to Norway, exiting the Animus, playing dice, river raiding, and repairing the game but nothing seems to work.

As it turns out, Ubisoft Support Staff has commented on the issue and said they have passed on the reports to the investigation team.

Hey @nox_cl. We are looking into similar reports. I apologize you are experiencing this and thank you for the screenshot. I have passed your information on to the investigating team. I apologize for the inconvenience.

They also suggested a workaround that might help some. It involves updating the game to Title Update 1.5.2 and loading a save before April 19 to see if it helps.

As a test, can you confirm that you have TU 1.5.2 installed and then load a save from before April 19th? Please let us know if this helps with the missing Ostara Festival content.
