Elden Ring players continue to encounter bugs and issues that require a fix to achieve the optimal gaming experience.

At this time, some are experiencing issues with the summoning mechanic at a certain location on the map. More specifically, summoning is unavailable for some Elden Ring players in Nokron area.

Summoning unavailable for some Elden Ring players in Nokron

According to multiple reports, the summoning mechanic is not working properly when you arrive to the Elden Ring Nokron area. Apparently, the game doesn’t let you do it in any zone within Nokron (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11).

The summon works correctly in any other zone outside Nokron, according to reports.

Unable to Summon bug in Nokron and only Nokron?

I don’t see the tech support thread so I thought I’d ask. Summoning just seems broken in this part of the game. I get Unable to Summon every time I summon someone, and instantly returned home every time I am summoned. This has happened a lot with my cousin, we just cannot summon each other past the mimic tear. I’m at the gargoyles boss now, and I cannot summon anyone, even red sign invaders.

BUG: Summoning problems at Nokron

So, it’s time to beat the Gargoyles, but the summon system is showing several signs of being broken.

– Can’t see ANY summon signs after using Furcalling.- I saw one summon sign ONCE, didn’t work (Unable)- Immediately sent back when summoned.- The only thing that seems to work (to be summoned) is to put your sign near the traumatized NPC.- Even so, the message “you may now challenge the boss area” keeps popping out during the whole battle.

Mimic Tear boss could be responsible

Same here. I can’t even see summon signs after the Mimic Tear. I saw ONE, ONCE. Unable as soon as I touched it.

So, considering the nature of Elden Ring gameplay, many might wonder if this is really a bug, or if it’s a gameplay mechanic where Mimic Tear blocks summons once you’ve encountered it.

This would not be the first time that an Elden Ring gameplay mechanic seems like a glitch. However, an official confirmation for this is still missing.

No official acknowledgment yet, potential workaround

At the moment, there is no official acknowledgment on the issue from the developers. However, some reports indicate that reinstalling the game could help resolve it.
