Despite the Battle Royale genre being overcrowded with video games, Apex Legends still remains one of the most popular titles in the niche.

Developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts, the game hit the 100 million registered play mark in a span of just 3 years. It is set in the same universe as Respawn’s Titanfall, with some characters making an appearance in the game.

But in the last few days, players have complained of various issues affecting the game such as the chat not working on Xbox and settings resetting after the next gen update.

And as if the aforementioned issues are not troubling enough, Apex Legends players are now saying (1,2,3,4,5) that they are getting a ‘Server received bad player data from storage’ error message when they try to play the game.

Many say they are unable to join matches and are kicked out of the round after the error pops up. Common troubleshooting solutions such as restarting the system and reinstalling the game are making no difference.

You can see in the image below what the error message looks like for some.

Unfortunately, Apex Legends developers (Respawn Entertainment) are yet to acknowledge or comment on the problem.

We hope the developers take a look at the issue and fix it as soon as possible since it is making it impossible for those on consoles to play the game.
