Rainbow Six Extraction arrived a few weeks ago as the latest installment in the tactical FPS game series. But, Rainbow Six Siege still has a strong player base.

That said, a recurring issue that appears from time to time on Rainbow Six Siege is affecting the aspect ratio in Cameras and Drones.

More specifically, Rainbow Six Siege players using 4:3 aspect ratio are facing issues with the Cameras and Drones UI where some parts of the interface are cut off (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9).

Rainbow Six Siege broken 4:3 aspect ratio with Cameras and Drones

Just like in other games, you can set the aspect ratio to your liking. One of the most popular options that Rainbow Six Siege players use is the 4:3 aspect ratio.

However, currently this aspect ratio is broken, producing cut-off areas in the UI when using Cameras and Drones. So, some interface elements are ‘off screen’.

Ubisoft ruined 4:3, AGAIN

Idk why but after every season, Ubisoft finds a way to make playing on 4:3 worse and worse. Last season it was the disproportionate hud icons on the top and bottom of the screen. This season the camera hud panel where you see the list of the cams, will appear half cut off if you play on 4:3. Seriously why ubisoft? Im pretty sure a bunch of pro league players still play on 4:3. Do you not test your game in different aspect ratios?

I have a problem with 4:3 aspect ratio, the ui for drones and cams, and the left side operator icons seems to be out of the screen, I can only see a part of them.

Rainbow Six Siege 5:4 aspect ratio reportedly affected as well

According to reports, the issue also affects Rainbow Six Siege players using 5:4 aspect ratio. As in the previous case, there are UI elements off screen or cut off.

I totally agree, another bug that has been reported many times is aspect ratio and the new UI, I play on 5:4 and its kinda unplayable because half of the UI is off the screen and it was like that since first day of TS and was reported mutiple times and it somehow made it to live.

Ubisoft team already aware, potential workarounds

Currently the Ubisoft team is investigating Rainbow Six Siege broken 4:3 aspect ratio issue. But, there is still no estimated arrival date for a fix.

In the meantime, there are a couple of workarounds that could help mitigate the issue. First, you can try using 16:9 aspect ratio instead of 4:3 or 5:4.

Also, some players suggest that the 4:3 aspect ratio works fine if you play in 1440p resolution.
