Rainbow Six Siege is a popular tactical first-person shooter that was released back in 2015. Developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft, the video game focuses on tactical cooperative gameplay.

Thanks to Ubisoft frequently pushing new content and making balance changes, the game feels fresh. Having said that, players recently reported that they were losing ELO due to frequent disconnections.

And now, Rainbow Six Siege players are now reporting (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) that their entire squads are experiencing disconnection issues followed by a temporary ban.

Players from all around the world are reporting the issue, making the game unplayable. The bug is annoying many since the penalties stack up with players saying that they are unable to play for hours.

Reinstalling the game and verifying files do not seem to work either.

We are playing with my m8s we play 4 or 5 premade and randomly all of us were kicked due to “connection to the game server is lost” error. sometimes we reconnected (mostly we were banned for leaving the game) and we saw our opponents also kicked too. in game, just 1 or 2 people are not kicked out and were playing. we got banned for 1 hour first and 2 hours after two days of playing. now we kicked again we got a penalty and downed 2 ranks by leaving game. Our connection is always stable we are talking with each other and connected to Ubisoft servers. So, is there anyone who know the solution? or any useful idea (except don’t play)

Me and my friends keep having the same problem: we keep losing connection to the server (west-EU) and get the disconnection penalty. This happened 4 play days in a row so now we are all banned for 2 days. Most of the times the five of us get all kicked together however it has also happened that 1 or 2 players stay in the server only to be booted later. On very lucky days one player of our team stays in the match allowing the rest to reconnect. I wanted to ask if this is a known problem with a work around? Is there anything we cound try to mitigate this problem?

Fortunately, Rainbow Six Siege developers have acknowledged the squad disconnection and ban issues and said that it is currently under investigation. However, they did not share any ETA on when the servers will be fixed.

For players on other platforms who have been encountering server issues related to disconnections, we are also actively investigating these. We aim to share status updates on this topic as well in the coming days.

01:04 pm (IST): Many gamers are reporting squad disconnection problems with Rainbow Six Siege which means that this issue still persists.
