Original story (published on January 26, 2022) follows:

While the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are pretty impressive devices when it comes to hardware, the latest by Google is an absolute mess in terms of software.

Just days after the launch of the Pixel 6 series, users reported several issues with the phone such as apps crashing and Wi-Fi disconnecting randomly.

And as if the existing bugs and glitches weren’t enough to ruin the user experience, it looks like Pixel 6 users are facing another issue where the phone does not automatically connect to Wi-Fi (1,2,3,4,5) even though the auto-connect toggle is enabled.

Pixel 6 And Pixel 6 Pro owners say that the bug is really frustrating since their phone is not connecting to their Wi-Fi when they come back home.

Some say that they tried resetting their phone to factory settings forgetting the Wi-Fi network and reconnecting but nothing seems to work.

My Pixel 6 is disconnecting from wifi after being asleep or leaving and coming back to network and then not reconnecting to wifi automatically. I have to manually restart wifi. Sometimes I have to restart phone to get it to connect. I have done all online support items. Network is working fine with my old phone, wife’s phone, Roku etc.. doing the same thing on work wifi and other wifi. Most recently reset the whole phone. Still doing it. I contacted Google and they emailed support suggestions (after phoning again after being disconnected the first time.. they called at 3:30am! For some reason I didn’t answer.. lol)

Pixel 6 Pro Wifi Issues. The phone automatically disconnects from wifi at home when not in use but never reconnects.
I have to reconnect manually Every time I set my phone down for 10+minutes or if I leave home and come back. I did not have this issue on my 3XL. Auto connect is turned on. The battery saver is off. There aren’t many threads about this. Any fixes?
