Call of Duty: Vanguard (also known as COD Vanguard) received its long-awaited Season 2 update with a lot of new content a few hours ago.

However, it seems that the update also brought some new issues to a game that already had things to fix (1, 2, 3). A recent bug is affecting the scoreboard, according to reports.

It seems that the COD Vanguard death count or death tracking is missing from scoreboard since the Season 2 update arrived (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11).

Losing the death count from scoreboard in COD Vanguard is frustrating many players. They consider it inconsistent that some useful items are removed from the scoreboard while others remain or are added.

Deaths have been removed from OBJ games scoreboard

I am just using KC as an example. So I welcome the fact that they have added denies to the Kill Confirmed scoreboard but they have removed deaths, why couldn’t they add denies and STILL include deaths?

I like to know how I’ve done in a game, score, kills, confirms, denies AND deaths should all be included. Is it really that difficult to include? It’s not a major issue but it is irritating.

The only COD Vanguard game mode in which scoreboard death tracking is still active is team deathmatch, according to reports.

Removed death tracking on scoreboards?

Not sure if I’m being an idiot but since the update a few hours ago I can’t track my e/d during any games other than team deathmatch? Have they removed tracking deaths in other game modes or am I doing something dumb?

Some players consider it a good change

The removal of the death count from the scoreboard was considered by some COD Vanguard players as a positive change. They point out that on some occasions the feature was more of a distraction than something truly useful.

This might be controversial, but screw it; Removing deaths from the scoreboard was the best decision.

The basic concept of showing deaths is essentially a distraction. If my team and I are playing objective modes, that death stat alone will determine how often they will jump on the objective. When people realize they are about to go negative, they’d rather lose the match. Apparently, the KD stat is way more important to them over helping their team win the match.

Sledgehammer Games team working on a fix

The Sledgehammer Games team is already aware of the issue. The company is currently working on a fix, but there is still no information on an estimated arrival date for it.
