Destiny 2 is one of the most popular online multiplayer shooting games on Steam that is developed and published by Bungie.

Thanks to the developers frequently bringing new content to Destiny 2, players frequently encounter technical bugs and glitches such as the game crashing when playing gambit matches or enemies surviving multiple finishers.

The game also allows players to craft several items such as weapons and armor. Gunsmith Materials is one such uncommon consumable that Destiny 2 players can exchange with vendors to gain reputation and rewards.

Gamers can acquire them either by dismantling duplicate weapons or dumping lower-tier gear drops. They are useful if you are looking to farm the weapon pool or buy some perks, gear, or exotics from collections.

Having said that, a Senior Community Manager at Bungie recently announced that they were phasing Gunsmith Materials when the Witch Queen expansion pack releases in February this year.

They also advised players to spend all their Gunsmith Mats.

Setting expectations: The TWABs keep on rolling.
– Changes to blue drops in the pipe
– Power floors & Raid launch date
– Gunsmith updates (Spend your gunsmith mats…)
See you Thursday.

Now, many are wondering how they can spend their Gunsmith Materials, with some saying that they have amassed a large number of mats.

If you are someone who has earned thousands of Gunsmith Materials, you can select whatever you want with DIM.

Another player suggested turning on the farming mode in DIM and having one slot free.

An alternative btw is to turn farming mode on in DIM. It makes sure you always have 1 slot free, so you’ll get all the items in your vault. Then of course you’ll have to manually delete all of them, but at least you get the full mats that way.

dmg04 just tweeted “spend your Gunsmith materials” in a tweet setting expectations for the TWAB. Presumably, some of you have a lot of those. In the process, if you get a Stochastic Variable with Feeding Frenzy and Multikill Clip, save it. It’s the same archetype as the Recluse and can get a very similar set of perks and feel (Polygonal/Ricochet/Feeding Frenzy/Multikill, with Multikill replacing Master of Arms). Certainly not identical and you’re not going to replace your Multimach in PvP, but give it a try. In PvE, it feels like a Recluse-lite when you get the perk combo going in full swing. Definitely worth giving a try.
