[Updated] Madden 22 players report issue where 'Starting RB/WR leaves game' & never comes back despite recent patch

The latest version of the NFL simulation video game, EA Madden 22, is making news for all the wrong reasons.

Madden 22 players have been actively complaining about the game, as ever since its release, the title has been plagued with bugs and issues.

Some recent bugs EA Madden 22 players reported include getting stuck on the Physique Selection screen and the infamous Franchise mode glitch because of which players are sent back to the Main Menu.

Having said that, a bug that was fixed in a recent patch has resurfaced. EA Madden 22 players say that the bug causes players to disappear after starting a match in Franchise mode.

Many players are reporting an issue with EA Madden 22 where the starting RB/WR leaves the game & never comes back.

Users say that the players are replaced by substitutes a few minutes after they start the match even if injuries are off.

For the love of god fix the fatigue substitutions for franchise. My starters play 1 quarter cuz they’re tired and never come back in lmao

Number one receiver being subbed out of the game for stamina then game glitching and never putting him back in- franchise mode. Have had happen twice now once being at the end of the game, one being at the end of the first half then never brining him back in and he was never injured or in medical center.

Madden 22 players also say that their top players are unable to play because the fatigue system is preventing them from doing so.

This is despite EA releasing a recent patch that reportedly fixed the Madden 22 ‘Starting RB/WR leaves game’ issue.

It looks like EA is allegedly aware of the Madden 22 Starting RB WR leaves game issue making a comeback even after releasing a patch that was supposed to fix it.

Maybe it is just not the fatigue system to be blamed here, but something other that is making the RB/WR to be replaced by substitutes.

We hope EA fixes the issue as soon as possible since it is preventing players from playing Madden 22 as intended. When EA fixes the bug, we will update this space so make sure you keep an eye out.

04:48 pm (IST): It’s now been over a month since the issue popped up but there seems to have been no breakthrough with regards to a permanent fix for the problem.

A recent comment from a mod on the community forms suggests that the developers are still working on a fix for it. However, there’s no ETA.
