OnePlus 7 & OnePlus 7 Pro OxygenOS 11 (Android 11) stable update is finally rolling out (Download links inside)

It’s been 6 months since OnePlus pushed out the stable build of Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 to the OnePlus 8 series of devices. Since then we have seen the company busy with bug fixes and optimizations.

It was not until early this month that we saw the next device from the OEM bagging an update to stable Android 11 in form of the OnePlus Nord. Again, not without its fair share of drama.

For the previous generation flagships, things have been a little more dramatic than we’d liked. For starters, this update was expected sometime late last year.

We’ve been treated to lengthy waits, buggy Open beta builds, and everything in between and this culminated in the rollout of stable OxygenOS 11 for the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro recently.

So what about the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro Android 11 update? Well, these device owners have been in the dark for the past couple of days following the deployment of the update to the 7T and 7T Pro, but not anymore.

Reports now indicate that OnePlus is finally rolling out Android 11 to the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro. This, as users of the devices (1,2), have started confirming receiving the build on their devices.

At the time of writing, OnePlus is yet to issue an official release statement but seeing the number of users reporting receiving this update on their devices, this is clearly the official rollout.

After this update, all eyes now turn to the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T which are the company’s oldest devices that are eligible for this update.

It will also be interesting to see if this build finally brings the Always-on display feature, a feature that caused this update to get delayed a great deal.
