New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on March 12, 2021) follows:

OnePlus has had a pretty rough couple of months, to say the least. Since the rollout of Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 to its OnePlus 8 series of devices, the company has been embroiled in an endless cycle of bug-fixing.

This has led the delay of the Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 update to the company’s other eligible devices such as the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus Nord devices with both devices (1,2) seeing the recent updates pulled due to…you guessed it…more bugs.

To the company’s credit though, affected users have been getting bug-fix updates, a very OnePlus move and we can only hope to see more of these moving forward.

The OnePlus 8T was unveiled back in 2020 and this was the first device from OnePlus to come with the company’s Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 out of the box.

The device hasn’t been without its fair share of issues, issues that have been constantly fixed by the company with update after update. We’ve been keeping an eye on these updates and you can check out our tracker here.

The last of these bug-fix updates came back in February when the device was updated to the January 2021 Android security patch.

Today, users of the OnePlus 8T are getting another update, this time bringing the February patch along with a few more bug-fixes and optimizations. Below is the update’s changelog.

System

-Optimized the Community homepage with more noticeable notification
-Updated Android security patch to 2021.02
