Original story (published on December 10, 2020) follows:

Asus started the Android 11 beta recruitment for Asus 6Z (aka Asus ZenFone 6) back in August while the beta version came out a month later.

The first Asus 6Z Android 11 beta update came with version 18.0610.2009.37 followed by a second beta update with version 18.0610.2009.63.

So far, Asus has provided a total of 12 Android 11 beta updates to the device in question but there is still no sign of the stable version which has made users anxious.

Now, recent reports suggest that the OEM might soon start rolling out the stable version of the latest OS update for Asus 6Z.

The information comes from the ZenTalk community where a moderator has stated that they might have found the solution for a major bug which was delaying the stable Android 11 update rollout.

We feel positive that we have finally “maybe” found the solution for a bug that has been delaying the release of A11 so if everything goes well, then it shouldn’t be too long before you have a nice BIG update.

While it is unclear what that major bug is, users can finally rejoice as the OEM has either addressed the unknown issue or is at least close to finding a solution for the same.

This means that Asus might provide the much awaited OS update to the device in question in the near future.

However, no ETA has been provided so it is still unclear when the OEM will start pushing the OS update to Asus 6Z.

Also, it is only natural of Asus 6Z users to be worried as users of the ZenFone Max Pro M1 and M2 got tired of waiting for the Android 10 stable update.

Hopefully, the OEM does not treat Asus 6Z the same way and provides the latest OS update soon as users have been waiting for quite some time.

That said, we will keep tracking the development of Asus 6Z (aka Asus ZenFone 6) and will provide more details once new information becomes available.
