Xiaomi has a massive fan-base with individuals from all around the world interacting with each other and the company via its Mi Community app and website.

The Mi Community is where the company shares most information including details of beta updates, stable updates, upcoming features, and more.

Matter of fact, users can also have their queries regarding bugs or updates answered in the forums.

In July, however, Xiaomi had to shut down its Mi Community app and website in India in order to adhere to the orders, processes, and protocols required by the Government of India.

And neither the app nor the website is working at present in the country. Of course, users elsewhere can access the Mi Community as usual.

Furthermore, Xiaomi had earlier planned to add a few new features to the Mi Community app but the company hasn’t brought any new changes, yet.

Now, the company has announced that it is soon going to release the new Mi Community application. Moreover, Xiaomi isn’t just going to bring a couple of new tweaks or features.

Instead, the entire application has been reworked from scratch according to the details shared in the announcement post.

One note is, we didn’t add new features to the previous basis. Instead, we developed this one from the beginning.

This means that the app would offer an entirely new experience when compared to the previous Mi Community application.

The first version of the new Mi Community application will be available next week according to Xiaomi as an APK file.

Hence, it will be available as a beta app and will not represent the final stable release.

There will be several beta updates to the application along the way in order to improve the user experience and iron out any bugs and issues.

There’re still many features waiting to be migrated. And it’s going to have several versions to do beta test before available in APP stores.

Only when the app is considered bug-free and stable will Xiaomi begin publishing the new Mi Commuunity app on app stores such as Google Play.

Also worth nothing is that the first version will not include all the features that Xiaomi plans to add to the new Mi Community app.

The new features will be added along with the beta updates that would be released during the testing period.

Those seeking information regarding details of the final release will be disappointed to know that the announcement did not entail any such details.

Therefore, it may take a while before Xiaomi releases the app to app stores for the general public.

As always, we will continue tracking the situation and will post an update once Xiaomi releases the APK file for the first version publicly and when any other details emerge regarding the new Mi Community app from Xiaomi.
