Samsung TouchWiz is perhaps one of the first names pops up in the mind of many fans of the Galaxy phones the company has been selling for years now.

Samsung eventually ditched the popular custom skin overlay for Experience UI, but this one didn’t last long. Matter of fact, it’s easy to forget it ever existed, especially if you didn’t interact much with it.

In 2018, Samsung impressed many with the direction it took in terms of the software experience offered on its Galaxy phones. Out went Experience UI and in came One UI 1.0 based on Android Pie, offering a beautiful, less-intrusive and much lighter experience than ever before.

Still, Samsung lets users further tweak the One UI appearance to their own preference with the help of the Good Lock app. Inside this app, you’ll find a set of mods to tweak the stock UI, automate tasks, and whatnot.

Like other apps, the Good Lock app must also be fine-tuned to work with every new Android OS iteration. Not long ago, the app got support for Android 10, but for some reason, only those in select markets like the U.S., Korea, Canada, Australia, and Singapore can use it.

So, what now for theming fans who own Samsung Galaxy phones in unsupported regions? Enter NiceLock Downloader Companion by XDA Senior Member xantrk.

Using the NiceLock Downloader Companion, you can easily download and enjoy all Good Lock modules regardless of your country. The main NiceLock doesn’t have direct download links to the official Good Lock mods due to Google’s restrictions, which is where the Companion steps in.

Matter of fact, besides pulling all Good Lock mods in one place, the NiceLock Downloader Companion makes managing these mods way easier. You won’t find the companion app in the Play Store, though.

BTW, there is a free version of the NiceLock app and a paid-for version that has no ads.

FYI, even after you install the NiceLock Downloader Companion, you’ll still need the main NiceLock app to enjoy all the goodies that Samsung packs in the Good Lock app, so don’t go around uninstalling it.

Update 1 (October 12)

A new report suggests that Samsung has finally released its Good Lock application along with the modules in the Netherlands and other European countries. Therefore, users in Europe can download the app directly via the Galaxy Store instead of having to sideload the APK.
