Xiaomi MIUI 12 latest beta: VLOG mode gets new "Story" & "Rhythm" templates; Control Center settings revamped
MIUI 12 has been steadily rolling out to eligible devices over the past few months and we’re fast approaching the tail end of this rollout.
More on the status of MIUI 12 rollout and the download links to the respective updates in our dedicated tracker.
The completion of the rollout does not mean that Xiaomi now stops updating the MIUI 12-totting devices. We’re bound to see more features come to devices running MIUI 12 and today, we get a little insight into what might be coming in new builds of MIUI 12.
In a post on the popular MIUI-centered Xiaomi & MIUI News | Xiaomiui Channel on Telegram, we’re getting info on some of the features coming to MIUI 12.
According to the post, below is the changelog for MIUI 12 beta 20.9.28
– Optimization | VLOG mode is upgraded to cloud download runtime and template resources, and new VLOG templates will be pushed through the cloud in the future
– New | VLOG mode adds two templates: “Story” and “Rhythm”
– New | VLOG mode supports the draft box function, you can save the current shooting progress to the draft box
VLOG Mode is a really useful feature for many MIUI users who heavily rely on their devices to create and produce content. These new features will breathe more life into their workflow.
It remains unclear when exactly this feature will be ready to roll out to eligible devices so stay tuned for that.
More changes have been announced for the MIUI 12 Control Center which is set to get a few options in the coming builds.
From the batch of shared screenshots, this is essentially housekeeping as we still have the same MIUI or Android style of notification, the option to use the new Control Center or the Old style notification shade, albeit with a few menu reorganizations.
The Status bar also gets a bunch of new options for customization as shown in the screenshot below.
As mentioned, it is not immediately clear when these features will make their way to the stable builds of MIUI 12, much less when they’ll be rolled out to MIUI 12 devices.
We shall continue to keep an eye on this and update as and when we get more details. Check out our Xiaomi section for that.
