[Update: Released] Motorola One Zoom Android 10 update in the testing phase, says Motorola Brazil

New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on July 31, 2020) follows:

Motorola One Zoom was launched back in 2019 and offered Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box. While some devices in the Motorola One series have already bagged the Android 10 update, the Moto One Zoom is yet to receive it.

It was reported way back in February that the Android 10 update for Motorola One Zoom was coming soon. However, the device has only received Android security updates since then. Back in June, Motorola support stated that the update was ‘pending partner approval’.

Also, the OEM didn’t even provide any timeline for the update. The Moto One Zoom recently bagged the July security update but it was still based on Android 9 Pie. Users have been waiting for Android 10 for a long time but some new development appears to have taken place.

Motorola Brazil recently took to Twitter and stated that the Moto One Zoom Android 10 update is in the testing phase and will come out soon.

Well, the new development appears to be somewhat similar to the previous ones. It still shows the dedication of the Moto One Zoom software development team for they intend on delivering a much more refined software experience.

It must be noted that Motorola One Zoom is not a part of the OEM’s Android One family even though it bears the “One” tag. This definitely affects how the updates are delivered to the device and could also be the reason behind the delay of the Android 10 update.

Nevertheless, we hope the OEM actually delivers the much awaited update soon this time. Meanwhile, you can go through our dedicated Motorola Android 10 update tracker if your device is yet to bag the OS update.

      Update 1 (August 1)

According to information shared by XDA Developers, it appears that the Android 10 soak test for the Motorola One Zoom is ongoing in Brazil. Motorola has pushed several beta updates for the device and the latest build comes as QPH30.29-Q3-28-13. Further, it also brings the July security patch.

      Update 2 (Septemer 25)

Motorola One Zoom users can finally rejoice since the Android 10 update for the device has begun rolling out over the air for users in the UK. The update comes with the software version QPH30.29-Q3-28-13 and also brings the July security patch. A user has confirmed receiving the update by sharing a screenshot on Reddit.
