Realme UI 2.0 (Android 11) 3rd-party app issues detailed alongside accepted & rejected feature requests

Realme has released the Realme UI 2.0 (Android 11) preview for Realme X50 Pro. There are many improvements and new features along with an overhauled UI. Also, we recently covered the Realme UI 2.0 update in depth. More on that here.

While OEMs like Realme and Oppo are already progressing with their Android 11-based custom skins, there are still some concerns that need to be addressed. Realme has recently discussed the Realme UI 2.0 (Android 11) third-party app issues while also addressing some feature requests.

The OEM took to the Realme community to announce that there are some compatibility issues with some third-party apps on Android 11. Some of the major issues outlined by Realme are related to sharing, changing avatars, and QQ, WeChat and other third-party apps compatibility.

Moreover, Realme has also provided a list of third-party apps that are yet to adapt to Android 11. The list includes banking apps, financial and insurance apps, life services apps, social communication apps, and more.

So, it is recommended that those who want to use these apps should avoid the Realme UI 2.0 preview version. However, the OEM is constantly working on making these apps compatible with the latest OS update as soon as possible.

Apart from this, the OEM has addressed some of the feature requests sent by Realme users. Realme has accepted most user requests related to the optimization of flashlight gesture, multi-user security enhancements, integration of WiFi and personal hotspot, Weather app optimizations and more.

On the other hand, some requests are denied by the OEM because of accessibility reasons. However, it is still good to see that Realme is striving to make Realme UI 2.0 (Android 11) highly efficient and user friendly.

That said, we are closely following the development of the Realme UI 2.0 (Android 11) update so be sure to check out our dedicated tracker to stay updated on the topic. Also, you can go through this list of devices from Realme that might be eligible for the latest OS update.
