Original story (from September 4, 2020) follows:
Oppo was one of the first few Android OEMs to release the Android 11 beta update after Google rolled out the update for its Pixel line up. The company released the beta version for its flagships — the Find X2 Pro and Find X2 in China.
Since then, Oppo also kicked started the recruitment for beta testers to test Android 11 on the Ace2 in China. Furthremore, the company also recently confirmed that it will release the beta for the Global variants of the Find X2.
And well, it appears Oppo has planned to kick-start the beta recruitment for the Find X2, Find X2 Pro, as well as the Reno3 and Reno3 Pro. In an official announcement, the company has alerted interested users to get ready to sign up for the beta.
The beta recruitment process is scheduled to begin on September 7 at 4:00 (GMT). Therefore, any individuals with the aforementioned devices can register to get a chance to experience Android 11 before others.
At present, it’s not known whether the Android 11 beta for these devices will come alongside ColorOS 8.0 or ColorOS 7.2 like with the previous beta versions rolled out in China. It’s possible that Oppo may announce ColorOS 8.0 with the stable release.
Nevertheless, only a limited number of users will be selected for the beta. Unfortunately, all other details will be shared on September 7 itself including the available regions and the quota.
Therefore, in a matter of a few days, we’ll get to know Oppo’s plans for the release of the Android 11 beta for the Find X2, X2 Pro, Reno3, and Reno3 Pro. So keep an eye out on our dedicated tracker to know more about the Android 11 rollout on Oppo devices.
NOTE: At present, Oppo has been releasing Android 11 beta updates alongside its ColorOS 7.2 skin instead on ColorOS 8. However, this is subject to change in the future.
