Vivo S1 Pro Android 10 (Funtouch OS 10) update has been released in India, says support

Vivo released the S1 Pro in 2019 with Android 9 Pie pre-installed and more than a year later, many users are still waiting to get the update to Android 10. At present, Vivo has released Android 10 alongside Funtouch OS 10 for the device in China.

Matter of fact, the Android 10 update was released back in June for Vivo S1 Pro, however, users outside of China have not been as lucky. But it isn’t all that bad since the company did state that they have been greyscale testing Android 10 on the device in India.

FYI, greyscale testing is usually done to root out any major bugs and issues from the software before it goes live for the general public. Generally, it can take anywhere between a few weeks or even a couple of months for the testing to finish.

Thus, we expected Vivo to begin rolling out Android 10 for the Vivo S1 Pro shortly granted that the testing has been going on for a few weeks. And well, it appears that the company has indeed released the much-awaited software for the device.

According to the Vivo India Twitter handle, the company has already released the update for the device. This comment was made in response to a user’s query regarding the Android 10 update for the phone.

Hi, we appreciate your patience. we have already rolled out Android 10 for vivo S1 Pro handset. Please wait, you will get the notification soon on your smartphone automatically.

This means that users shouldn’t have to wait much longer before the OTA update arrives on their unit(s). Matter of fact, an individual in India did share a screenshot confirming the arrival of Android 10 along with Funtouch OS for the S1 Pro towards the tail end of August.

Thanks Vivo India Finally Got Android 10 Update Vivo S1 pro. Again Thanks Vivo_india

Apparently, the update is rolling our as version 6.8.14 in India with a download size of 3.84GB. Unfortunately, not many Vivo S1 Pro users have reported receiving the new software at the moment.

Therefore, it seems that the update is being rolled out in small batches at the moment. As usual, we will continue tracking the rollout and will post an update when new details surface.

In the meantime, stay tuned to our dedicated tracker to know when Android 10 arrives on your Vivo phone.
