LG has been a bit late in providing some of its devices with the Android 10 update. While it’s been almost a year since Android 10 came, there are still some carrier-locked LG devices that are yet to get the OS update.

LG X6 and LG Q70 were slated to receive the Android 10-based LG UX 9.0 update in Q3 2020. However, LG X6 got the OS update earlier in the month while the Telus LG Q70 units in Canada are yet to get it.

Now, it seems that the wait is finally over as the OS update is arriving for the Telus LG Q70 variant in the coming week. The network service provider has released the software update schedule and the LG Q70 Android 10 update is scheduled to go live from September 2.

It was reported earlier that LG Q70 bagged the Android 10 (LG UX 9.0) update in Korea back in July. However, not all variants of the smartphone got updated and Telus subscribers in Canada have been waiting for the OS update to arrive on their LG Q70 for some time.

It is only natural for network service providers like Telus to release major updates a bit late. However, Google is now preparing to release Android 11 so it is quite late for the Telus LG Q70 variant to get updated to Android 10.

That said, we hope Telus LG Q70 subscribers get the OS update on the expected date without further delays. Meanwhile, you can check out our LG Android 10 (LG UX 9.0) update tracker if your device is yet to bag the OS update.
