The MIUI 12 update has brought many new features and improvements to Xiaomi devices. With the second round of the MIUI 12 update rollout schedule, the OEM plans to deliver all the amazing features to many more devices.

Some of the best MIUI 12 features include Super Wallpapers, Control Center, and Frame Rate Monitor. However, another feature is gaining a lot of attention but there is much more to it than meets the eye.

MIUI 12’s universal casting tool allows users to cast device screen on smart TVs and PCs. While the casting functionality was also present in the previous versions of Xiaomi’s custom skin, the MIUI 12 update has added some handy enhancements to the feature.

The OEM has taken to the global Mi community to share some insight on the universal casting tool. Users can now hide private items from displayed by tapping on particular them. Also, multitasking is now enabled with the universal casting tool.

You can enable the “Cast” option by heading to the “Connection & Sharing” settings. Once enabled, it will search for nearby devices that can be used to cast the phone’s screen. However, both devices must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network in order to use the universal casting tool.

With the improved MIUI 12 universal casting tool, users can easily use their device for presentations and what not. So, if you have received the MIUI 12 update and are using the universal casting tool, feel free to drop a comment below and let us know more about it.
