New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on August 08, 2020) follows:

The Android 10 update for the Vivo V15 was expected to arrive last month but that didn’t turn out to be the case. The phone released back in 2019 and it came with Android 9 Pie pre-installed.

It’s now been way over a year since its release but the phone is yet to bag the stable Android 10 update that brings the company’s custom skin dubbed as FunTouch OS 10.

Well, that seems to be changing now. Vivo has begun responding to user queries on Facebook regarding the Android 10 update for the Vivo V15. In its response (1, 2), the company claims that the greyscale testing for Android 10 has already begun on the device.

Thus, certain users should have already received the update. However, at the time of writing this, we aren’t able to independently confirm whether or not users have received the update.

In case the greyscale testing is underway, the stable Android 10 update may arrive a bit later down the line since the testing seems to have just begun. Similarly, the Android 10 update for the Vivo 15 Pro also went through greyscale testing.

And after almost one month since its testing began, the stable update began rolling out to all users. So we can speculate that the same will happen for the Vivo V15 too. As usual, we will continue tracking the situation and will post an update once we get a hold of more details.

In the meantime, check out our Vivo Android 10 (FunTouch OS 10) update tracker to know when it arrives on your device.

Update 1 (August 19)

A Twitter user has shared a screenshot of a conversation with Vivo’s support. It shows Vivo has confirmed that the Android 10 update is under greyscale testing for the Vivo V15 along with a few other smartphones from the company. Check out the screenshot below:
