[Updated] PUBG Mobile 90FPS support added for OnePlus devices
New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on August 6, 2020) follows:
PUBG Mobile is currently one of the most popular mobile games in many regions. Further, it has kicked-started a massive mobile gaming community thanks to its high-prize money tournaments. Speaking of which, the PUBG Mobile World League finals have kicked off from today.
And since it has become a highly competitive game, players have been waiting for Tencent to enable gameplay at 90fps. Of course, the higher the frame rate, the smoother the game will run which can give you a slight edge over enemies.
Several PUBG Mobile players are now reporting (1, 2, 3, 4) that they see the 90fps option in the Graphics settings of the game. It appears that the new frame rate option is available on the OnePlus 8/8 Pro, and the OnePlus 7T/7T Pro. We’ve added a few screenshots of user tweets below:

Even OnePlus India posted a Tweet suggesting that OnePlus users will now be able to play the game in a higher framerate. Here’s the tweet:
Things will look a whole lot smoother from now on. #GameonOnePlus
Unfortunately, it seems as though the 90fps option, even when enabled, does not make the game run with 90fps. It’s possible that a minor in-game update will enable the feature completely soon. Prior to this, 60fps was the max frame rate for all devices.
Moreover, current information suggests the 90fps toggle on PUBG Mobile has arrived via a server-side update. Although you may need to restart your phone if the option does not show up as pointed out by a couple of users:
FYI, the Chinese version of the game, Game of Peace, already has 90fps support. Nevertheless, since this is a fresh development, not all the details are clear at the moment. We will continue to track the situation and will post an update once the official details go live.
Update 1 (August 07)
PUBG Mobile has officially announced the arrival of the 90fps option on OnePlus phones. The high-frame-rate mode is exclusively available on certain OnePlus phones for a limited time. Here’s the official tweet from PUBG Mobile:
Update 2 (August 14)
PUBG Mobile via its Twitter page clarified that the 90fps mode is currently available on select OnePlus phones and will be available on all other eligible phones next month, i.e., September. Here’s the Tweet from PUBG Mobile’s official Twitter account:
Who’s tried PUBG MOBILE at 90FPS 😮? Available now for OnePlus devices and available for all devices next month!
Update 3 (September 15)
IST 10:58 am: Many Asus ROG Phone 2 users are frustrated since the device still does not support 90fps in PUBG Mobile. Responding to a user’s complaint, a moderator stated that the 90fps support needs to be enabled from PUBG Corporation’s side and Asus cannot enable it from their end. See the full story here.
