New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on July 20, 2020) follows:

Xiaomi is one of many Android OEMs that take a long while to release Android updates for their devices. The company releases a bunch of new phones every year which might be the reason why updates often take longer to arrive.

Nonetheless, Xiaomi does release at least two major Android updates for its mid-range or premium devices. Further, it also provides 2-3 MIUI version updates to these phones. The latest of which is known as MIUI 12 and is yet to release for all eligible devices.

A couple of days ago, we reported that the Redmi K20 Pro bagged the stable update in India. Further, the standard K20 has also received the Beta Stable update in the country.

It is currently being pushed via OTA to random users to make sure there are no major flaws before the stable release.

The announcement for the release of this new software version was made on the Mi Community forums. As expected, there are a ton of new features and improvements that have been introduced with the update.
