Xiaomi Mi Max 3 MIUI 12 global stable update to arrive this month
MIUI 12 has caused quite the stir in the Xiaomi community since it debuted a few months ago. And for good reason. MIUI 12 promises one of the most exciting feature and UI updates to eligible Xiaomi devices we have seen in recent times.
A number of Redmi and Mi devices have already been updated to this new skin on top of Android. We have an MIUI tracker dedicated to keeping tabs on Xiaomi’s rollout of MIUI 12 and you can check it out here.
Earlier, Xiaomi shared its roadmap to MIUI 12, a list of eligible devices and phases in which the company planned to roll out MIUI 12. In that list, the Mi Max 3 is part of phase 2 of MIUI 12 roll out. This means it was slated to get updated sometime between July and August. A few days ago, we saw an alleged updated list of Xiaomi’s roadmap that further listed phases 3 and 4.
In this new list, the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 from 2018 was listed in the third phase of MIUI 12 rollout. Even then, we really didn’t have word from the company as to when exactly the Mi Max 3 was going to get the much-awaited MIUI 12 update. Well, until now.
Thanks to a response by a Xiaomi moderator on the community forum, we now know that the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 will get updated to MIUI 12 within this month. When asked by a user when the Mi Max 3 is likely to get updated, the moderator had this to say:
With that, we know that the Mi Max 3 will get updated to MIUI 12 in this month of July. However, we still don’t know when exactly this rollout will commence. To recall, we recently got word that MIUI beta will end for the Mi Max 3 on September 5. More on that here.
MIUI 12 promises a whole new experience for eligible Xiaomi devices and it is understandable why users are looking forward to this update on their devices. So far, Xiaomi has done a fine job at rolling out this update to eligible devices in a timely fashion and we can only hope that the company keeps this up.
