While users of Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T and Note 8 wait for the official Android 10 update, a new custom ROM based on Android 10 is now available for both devices.

Notably, Pixys OS custom ROM has now extended its official support to both the Redmi Note 8T and Note 8 devices. Matter of fact, Paranoid Android and Pixel Experience ROM based on Android 10 are already available for the duo.

As far as the official Android 10 update is concerned, the latest info coming from Xiaomi firmware updater reveals that the OS should be on its way soon to Redmi Note 8. Just a gentle reminder, both the Redmi Note 8T and Redmi Note 8 have recently picked up June 2020 security patchset.

Instructions:
1. Backup your personal data (Important)
2. Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
3. Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
4. Wipe the System, Cache, Data, and ART/Dalvik cache.
5. Flash the ROM + Gapps Zip file.
6. Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
7. Reboot your device.

Before flashing any custom ROM, make sure that you have taken a proper backup of the data stored on your device to avoid data loss if things go south during the process. Moreover, since it is a unified build, it will work on both Ginkgo (Redmi Note 8) and Willow (Redmi Note 8T).
