Original story (published on June 23) follows:

Xiaomi has already released the stable version of the MIUI 12 update to a handful of devices outside China. The rollout started in China a few weeks ago, but now those using the global Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro and the European Mi 9 can install the stable MIUI 12 update right away.

In the official roadmap released in May, Xiaomi had promised to begin pushing the stable MIUI 12 global update in June to the Mi 9, Mi 9T, Mi 9T Pro, Redmi K20, and Redmi K20 Pro. So far, only the Mi 9 and Mi 9T Pro can access the stable version.

Sure, the Mi 9T, Redmi K20, and Redmi K20 Pro also have access to MIUI 12, but this is still limited to Mi Pilot testers. Speaking of, Xiaomi also expanded the Mi Pilot program to accommodate the Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 8 Pro, and Pocophone F1 (Poco F1 in India).

The recruitment exercise started earlier this month and just yesterday, we reported that the second phase of recruitment will begin this week. To date, though, no Redmi Note 8 Pro, Note 7 or Poco F1 owner knows whether their application to test MIUI 12 beta update was successful.

This dilemma, however, comes to an end next week, at least according to a statement by a member of the Poco Device Team in the Mi forums.

As per official telegram channel of Mi Global Community, MIUI 12 Global Stable Beta Tester result for POCO F1, Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 8 Pro will release next week.

Tech has been my playground for over a decade. While the Android journey began early, it truly took flight with the revolutionary Lollipop update. Since then, it's been a parade of Android devices (with a sprinkle of iOS), culminating in a mostly happy marriage with Google's smart home ecosystem. Expect insightful articles and explorations of the ever-evolving world of Android and Google products coupled with occasional rants on the Nest smart home ecosystem.
