[Download link taken down from site] Realme 3i & 3 Realme UI-based June update with DocVault support & multiple optimizations released
This story is being continuously updated…. New updates are being added at the bottom…..
Original story (from June 12) follows:
Regular security updates are incredibly important on Android and any other operating system for that matter as they offer proactive protection from malicious exploits that might want to take advantage of system vulnerabilities.
As such, many OEMs strive to roll out regular security patches to the Android system on their devices. Some devices get these updates monthly while others get them less frequently. Realme is not slacking in this regard.
Today, realme is rolling out the latest June 2020 security patch update to two of its devices, the Realme 3i and Realme 3. This update packs a little more than just a bump in the system’s security patch level.
Some of the changes coming to these two devices with this build include the addition of DocVault support on optimizations such as the hanging issue in low memory state. More changes are highlighted in the following changelog.
● Updated Android security patch（2020#6）
● Added DocVault
● Added realme Link
● Optimized hanging issue in low memory state
● Optimized the time of fingerprint recognize in some scenarios
● Optimized touch failure issue in some scenarios during game
● Optimized the issue that no response while touching the edges and corners of the screen
● Optimized the issue that the compass of some phones is not sensitive
● Optimized video scene brightness and color saturation
● Fixed the issue that no game dirac sound effect while entering some games
These devices have been pretty well updated throughout their lifetime. Both Realme 3 and Realme 3i got the update to the much-awaited Android 10 build back in April, much to the delight of users who were on edge about this.
We can only hope that more and more OEMs continue to roll out regular security patches to their devices as this adds up to build a more secure Android ecosystem.
Update 1 (June 17)
Realme 3 and Realme 3i June update download links have been taken down from the official software update page, so you may not find the device names listed. But the rollout hasn’t been suspended. Here’s what one of the device team’s member recently said on the community:
Hey, the Manual Download Link from the site had been taken down. It will be restored soon. The update rollout has not been stopped.
